Sure, Louis Tomlinson can sing, but that's not the only thing he can do.

The One Direction stud sat down withJason Kennedy for an exclusive interview with E! News as part of our One Direction Week, and during his sit-down, the 21-year-old star revealed one of his hidden talents. Can you guess what it is? Here's a hint: It has to do with sound.

OK, OK, we'll tell you. Along with having impressive vocal chords, Louis can make—farting noises! Yep, we're being serious, and he even showed Jason how it's done.

"That's the first time I've ever embarrassed myself like that," Tomlinson told us.

However, the entire interview wasn't just about making imitating bodily noises. The young celeb admits he and the 1D guys also love to prank each other while performing during their concert tour.

"During a concert, we'll always every now and then change a few words," Tomlinson told E! News. "I can't think of any off the top of my head. But something stupid and random."

He also touched on his relationship with longtime girlfriend Eleanor Calder and explained how she deals with his tremendous fame and the obsessive hoards of female fans that come with it. "Yeah, I suppose it is tough to deal with," he dished, adding, "but you know, she's a great girl."

BBC turns One Direction's way as they woo a more mature audience

Story of my Life single is playlisted by both Radio 1 and Radio 2 – but album attracts snide reviews from some quarters

Robbie Williams is "gutted" that Radio 1 won't playlist his songs – andrecently drew criticism after featuring on Radio 4. But it seems the BBCcan't get enough of One Direction, whose new single Story of my Life has had the rare honour of being A-listed by both Radio 1 and Radio 2. The Independent reports on the "tug of war" between the stations over the group, with Radio 2 apparently straying from its mission of targeting an older audience. A BBC spokesman told the paper: "Both Radio 1 andRadio 2 make decisions to playlist songs with listeners in mind. So while both felt this song would appeal to their audiences, the listening experience would be vastly different, as the stations' tone and mix of music means they have unique and utterly distinctive sounds." One Direction's record label hailed Radio 2 for "jumping on board" the group's more "mature" sound on their new album Midnight Memories. But what do critics make of the band's change of direction? The Observer's Kitty Empire gave the album three stars, saying it "does the job" and "looks certain to cement them as a global phenomenon", while the Daily Beast said "It's not a great album. Then again – in the finest pop tradition – it's not really supposed to be. Instead, Midnight Memories is really a bunch of aspiring singles jumbled together, jostling for attention." But the prize for the most splendidly acerbic review goes to the Michigan Daily, which said: "It's reminiscent of when US record executives changed The Beatles' Rubber Soul to better position it among the burgeoning folk scene of the mid-60s. The only difference is that Rubber Soul was, you know, a little bit better ... Considering the resources at the group's disposal, it's really surprising how terribly executed Midnight Memories is. Surely the band could've hired better songwriters than the ones featured on this record, and even the producers don't seem to know what they're doing. The record's artificial and overdone style is the musical equivalent of putting a poem through five different languages in Google Translate and then seeing what it looks like again in its original tongue." Definitely not A-list material for that paper, then.

PERRIE EDWARDS ADMITS TO CRYING WHILE WATCHING ONE DIRECTION’S STORY OF MY LIFE VIDEO: ‘IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL’

Gonna be honest with you guys, we still haven’t quite stopped crying the river of emotion that we created after watching One Direction’s Story Of My Life video for the first time on Sunday. All those sad looking faces, nostalgic photos and sensational hairstyles. Anyone else? Yep, we thought so. We’ll grab the ice cream.

One girl who totally understands where we’re coming from and can share in our pain is Perrie Edwards. You’d think that being able to snog one of the 1D boys whenever you fancied would give you little cause to blub, but it turns out that the SOML vid is so ridiculously emotional that even Pezza was left sobbing into her Sunday dinner.



Talking to EntertainmentWise this week, Perrie couldn’t help but talk about the effect that the Story of My Life video had on her, and she wasn’t embarrassed to admit that she had a bit of a soggy face after watching her fiance, Zayn Malik, get all protective and big-brothery in the heartfelt vid.

“Omg have you seen the video? I watched it once, I cried my eyes out. I watched it again because it was that amazing. I cried”, Pezza admitted.

Errr, Perrie? You’re fangirl’s showing a bit there, babes. WE LOVE IT.



“I went downstairs and said ‘Mam, you need to watch this video’. she was like ‘What’s the matter?’ I was like, ‘It’s the new 1D video, you need to watch it’. Me and my mam just sat there blubbering together, crying.”

At least we’re not the only ones to have been emotionally affected by the scene with Louis and his grandparents then. Not to MENTION seeing Harry’s naked knees in a fluffy dressing gown. Christ.



Perrie couldn’t help but praise the vid a bit more: “It’s so beautiful, it’s so beautifully executed. Ben who filmed it and stuff, he’s so talented and the boys just look amazing in it. It’s the best video I’ve ever seen, I love it. I’m a bit biased I know but it’s amazing.”

YES IT IS. The only difference between us and Perrie is that she then went and got a cuddle from Zayn to make her feel better while we tried to eat an entire family sized jar of Nutella for comfort in these difficult times.

One Direction’s Harry Styles reveals tiredness after ten months on the road

Harry Styles has revealed the last ten months of the Take Me Home tour have finally caught up with him.

The floppy-haired 19-year-old is completely pooped after touching down back in England.

‘Sooo, I’ve been asleep for about 3 days. Breakfast?’ he said on Twitter to his 17.5million followers.

One Direction ended their hugely successful tour in Japan on November 3rd, arriving back in the UK on Monday.

Tellingly, Styles’ previous tweet read: ‘A little party never killed nobody’, suggesting he and his bandmates let off some steam after completing the mammoth 131-date tour.

But Harry and the lads won’t have time to rest on their laurels as their hotly anticipated third album, Midnight Memories, is released later this month and they will embark on an even bigger tour in 2014

Being a member of One Direction is bound to take up practically all of your spare time – but Niall Horan has still got time to be an ‘amazing’ godfather.

The Irish singer has been touring the world since the start of this year with the 1D lads – Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne – and when they’re not on stage they’re working new music, promoting or attending glitzy showbiz awards bashes.

But when Niall was asked to be the godfather of his brother Greg and his wife Denise’s little baby boy Theo, he jumped at the chance.

‘Niall dotes on Theo and sent gifts home for him while on tour,’ a source told The Sun.

‘He surprised his brother Greg and (sister in law) Denise with a beautiful crib for Theo soon after he was born and loves spoiling him.’

Theo, now three months, is being christened on Saturday and Niall is making a special trip back home to Mullingar to be there.
